Choose What's Best For You!

So, I am a big basketball fan! Needless to say, today I’ve been following the news of Kevin Durant leaving the Golden State Warriors.

Kevin is going to the Brooklyn Nets. Now, I am a Golden State fan. I absolutely love Golden State! It is heartbreaking to know that Kevin Durant is leaving the Warriors; however, life happens and change is inevitable. I wish Kevin all of the success on his new journey. There is always a lesson in life. This is the lesson to all of us, “Do what you have to do for yourself!” A lot of times we are always trying to please others. Sometimes we make our decisions based upon what other people think we should do, or we don’t want to feel like we have betrayed another. A lot of times it’s not about betrayal, it’s about doing what is best for you! We have to go with our hearts desire. No one should tell you what relationship you should be in, what career you should be in, whose team you should play on, what stores you should buy from, etc. To each his or her own. We are all free to make our own decisions and we are all unique. Have you ever heard of YOLO (You Only Live Once)? Do what pleases you at every stage of your life. You Own your Happiness, You Own your Life. You have to make the big decisions for yourself and not anyone else. The truth is sometimes those big decisions may hurt others. And the other truth is that it is not your intention; however, you have to do what is best for you! Everyone needs to look at Kevin Durant and understand that we all have our own destiny to follow. We all have our own script to write. Let no one write your script. BE the Author, BE the Producer, Be the Director, and most of all Be the Catalyst behind living your life on your own terms and Owning Your Happiness. So, I must say to Kevin Durant, it was nice watching you play with Golden State. But, now it’s time for you to go on to another chapter in your life. We have to wish you the best because you did what was best for you. Wishing you much healing so you can continue to carry out the gift that God gave you.

And to you reading this, we have to know that life is constantly changing. As long as you’re living life is always going to change. So yeah that team that you love, those players that you love sometimes will get traded, will leave for another team, and there is nothing you can do about it. Yes, your co-worker might leave to start a business. Yes, you might come to terms that that relationship has run it's course. It's all a part of life! "Evolve or evaporate" as Usher once said. Life is full of changes. And never be mad at someone for doing what is best for him or her.

My charge to you is that you get use to change and when faced with hard decisions, do what will make you happy!

Let's all commit to Owning Our True Happiness!

I have Big News Coming in a week!

Sincerely,

Your PPOP Sister,

Erin Johnell Dickey
