Building Takes Time! Don't Give Up!

Have you ever heard that voice that tells you to give up? The voice tells you that your dreams are never going to come true. You've seen everyone around you succeed and you are still building. Building, you are. And as long as you keep building you are creating a strong foundation. Not just the foundation on the outside, but a strong mental foundation. You have been through so much, but mentally you are stable even when you feel like you're not.

You see it takes a strong person to keep going, to persevere and be resilient when they are waiting for a breakthrough. You smile, and wonder when is my season really going to happen? But yet you keep inspiring and giving hope even when you are exhausted. What people don't see is how you've wanted to give up on everything that you've ever dreamed of. But, for some odd reason, you keep building. You lay a small brick down at a time. And you realize that what you thought would come easily is taking it's precious time. What you've realized is every time you thought you were close and laid that last brick, there was a setback and the truth is you are afraid to walk and even crawl. But you pray, and somehow you keep building.

Keep building, my friend. Everyone's life is different. For some it takes a little more, for some it comes easy. Maybe you are in the group where it take more. It's alright, you're not alone. I am in that group too. Push yourself, never give up, and remember you've come too far to give up! Stop looking at others, this is your life and God has something in store for you. As Drake would say, "It's God's Plan!"

I believe in you, and I understand that the road can be a journey unknown. But, I truly believe with faith, resilience, perseverance, and fierceness it will come! Sometimes we just have to level up and keep building! You got this!

Your PPOP Sister,

Erin Johnell Dickey
